Contouring isn't just for the beauty world! To anyone new to using Cricut Design space, contouring is when you remove parts of a design you don't want to cut.
Contouring is great for designs that have a lot of detail that isn't needed or wanted. Using the contour tool is super simple!
In Design Space you'll want to place the image you are wanting to cut. If the image has layers, you'll want to ungroup the design.
Select the part of the image you are wanting to edit. From the tools panel select Contour, this will bring open contour window. The lines represent individual cut lines. Click the part of the design you want to hide & close the contour window.
Contouring is as simple as that! This is great when you need a small portion of the design removed but not permanently.
