Why I Purchased An Easy Press 2

Updated: Jan 15

This is the most asked question that pops up in Cricut Craft groups on Facebook. Someone will ask "EasyPress™ or Heat Press?" and then get a mix of answers leaving links to heat presses on Amazon, others swearing by heat presses. But when I was debating on whether to get an EasyPress™ or a Heat Press I asked myself a few things.

1. Where will I set a Heat Press up?

2. How often would I use this?

3. What's the cost difference?

So after looking around on Amazon, having several options to choose from. I ended up going with the 9x9 Easy Press 2. Ultimately I decided that there wasn't a great place for it in my craft room. It's not something I would use daily I don't sell my crafts so to me having a larger machine didn't make any sense. My EasyPress™ is portable and when I'm not using it I can simply store it on a shelf.

The next thing I had to decide was the size of EasyPress™ I wanted it was between the 9x9 and the 12x10. I create small to mid size iron on applications so the 9x9 seemed like the best option, no need spending the extra money if I didn't need to.

I'll admit when I first purchased my Cricut Explore One a few years ago, I thought the EasyPress™ was just an expensive oversized iron on. But after creating and crafting several iron on projects I quickly realized my projects weren't getting even temps, or I left it on too long in some places from having to move the iron.

If you're debating between an EasyPress™ or a Heat Press I hope this helps you decide. It comes down to you and your space and needs for your creations!
